Notă biografică
Arnold Pronto is a Senior Legal Officer in the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. He is a member of the Secretariat of the International Law Commission, as well as that of the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. His substantive responsibilities have involved a number of treaty negotiations and other law-making activities related to a range of public international law topics undertaken at the United Nations, including: responsibility of States for internationally wrongful acts, diplomatic protection, effects of armed conflicts on treaties, the protection of persons in the event of disasters, measures to eliminate international terrorism, the establishment of the International Criminal Court, the elaboration of an international convention to prohibit the reproductive cloning of human beings, and the criminal accountability of United Nations officials and experts on mission.Sir Michael Wood, KCMG, QC, is a member of the International Law Commission, and a Senior Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge. He is a barrister at 20 Essex Street, London. He was Legal Adviser to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office between 1999 and 2006. He joined the FCO as an Assistant Legal Adviser in 1970, and was a member of the United Kingdom delegation to many international conferences, including most sessions of the Third United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea.
