Patrick was born November 27th, 1924 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Graduated from Cathedral Boys High School class of 1942, at the age of 17. Due to the fact that the nation was just recovering from the Great Depression and Europe was in the grasp of Hitler's Nazi aggression many young men found themselves unable to find jobs due to the newly set draft board. Clancy and his classmates decided to go to the recruiting office and kick their number up. Their response surprised the recruiting officer and the notified the local press who sent a camera man over to get pictures. Clancy joined the Army Air Corps and served in Europe during W.W.II where he met and married his English War Bride in 1945 in Liverpool, England. After the war they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they raised three sons. Patrick J. Clancy and his wife, Barbara started and led the Oklahoma petition drive that put Ross Perot on the Presidential Ballot in 1992. Pat remains eternally grateful to all the loyal volunteers who stood with him on his grassroots drive to the very end. His passion took him and Barbara all the way to the appearing on the Larry King show in 1992. Pat and wife Barbara are now enjoying life telling stories of W.W.II to family and their grandchildren and now great-grandchildren
