This is the story of the Judge and Maher families. Joseph Judge was born in Roscommon, Ireland, in 1884 where he was baptized Patrick Joseph Brehaney variously spelled Brehaney, Breheny, Brehan, Brehon, Brehony]. He was known as Packy as a young boy and lived an idyllic life with a running brook near the home, a spring where the children fetched water and where a peat fire always was burning.
