Recenzii
'A fascinating collection of interconnected primary materials suggesting a close connection between ideas about witchcraft in Scotland and Salem, New England. The volume opens with ... one of the best introductions to the issues, problems and ideas in the historiography of Scottish witchcraft this writer has read. [It] would be most fruitfully used as a core reading for a case-study examination of late 17th century witchcraft in the English-speaking world at undergraduate or postgraduate level.' William G. Naphy, University of Aberdeen. Scottish Journal of Theology, 2012 'This mixture of editorial commentaries, seventeenth-century narratives, nineteenth-century editions and late twentieth-century appraisals provides a rich basis for us to attempt to engage with the different ways in which such stories [of witch-hunts] can be told and understood.' Jane McDermid, University of Southampton, Women's History Magazine, Autumn 2007
