The Knitster: 20 Patterns for Hip Knitters

Autor Robbie Dulaney
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 8 oct 2013
Featuring fun and fresh craft projects from a crafter and blogger with a lifelong passion, The Knitster combines simple, modern design with a colorful palette and vintage flair that is perfect for both women and men. The Knitster is an original, highly illustrated project-based knitting book (with a little crocheting thrown in for good measure). The twenty-five projects range in skill level from the basics to more advanced techniques and are designed to appeal to women and men. Clothing projects include a hooded infinity scarf, a slouchy hipster hat (knit from a bare yarn then dyed ombre), a freestyle bow tie, a color-blocked drop-sleeve sweater, and mismatched mittens connected with an i-cord (a grown-up twist on a kid’s look). Projects for the house include a zigzag throw, a patterned floor cushion, and a cute ice-cream-pint cozy (to keep your hands warm and the ice cream cold). Harness your creative energy and be inspired!

Notă biografică

Based in New Jersey, Robbie Dulaney is the founder of http://www.knitxcore.com/. He has been both a knitter and blogger for over seven years, but his interest in crafting goes far beyond that. Having roots in a very creative family has fueled a lifelong passion for making things, whether it’s knitting tiny stitches or hand-sewing stuffed animals. His work bridges the past and the present by combining simple modern design and a quirky color palette with a unique vintage flair. In fields largely dominated by women, his perspective provides a refreshing and much-needed voice within both the knitting and blogging communities. He’s hoping to inspire a new age of empowered male crafters to stand up and to be proud of their work, be it a tea cozy or a log cabin.
