This is the story of Tom Wintringham, a founder-member of the British Communist Party and one of the few bourgeois members to join. He led an eventful life, including imprisonment for sedition, time as a combatant in Spain and wounded at the Battle of Jarama. He believed that a social revolution was necessary to defeat the Nazis.
