The Last Odinian

Autor Alec Arbogast
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 26 oct 2017
When Edward Koenig arrives at the lonely coastal town of Pinemist Bay, the only thing on his mind is finding his family. With just a telepathic message from his daughter to guide him, only one thing is clear. His wife and daughter are in mortal danger. In order to find them, Koenig must place his trust in a few locals and delve headlong into the mysterious past of Pinemist Bay - a past centered around an ancient Scandinavian pagan rite that has all but vanished from the rest of the world. Beneath its insouciant guise, Pinemist Bay conceals both the hidden truth of Koenig's family's past and the key to an intrinsic bond with his daughter that he never could have imagined. But in order to save her, he must first play cat and mouse with a zealous pagan cult whose only goal is to lure him into the arms of an arcane presence that waits in the shadows of the pine forest.

Notă biografică

Alec Arbogast lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his Bachelor of Science in Writing and Rhetoric Studies at the University of Utah. His debut novel, The Last Odinian (2017), has won nine national and international awards, including placing as a finalist in the 2018 International Book Awards and as a winner in the 2018 NYC Big Book Award in the horror category. Alec loves psychological horror. He capitulates to Cthulhu's call as well as the beckoning of pre-war 'weird tales.' His TBR pile is never lacking a few Victorian-era ghost stories, and contemporary fiction and fantasy usually manage to sneak their way into that ever-growing mound of books. When he's not writing, Alec is taking to the canyons in his Camaro, pondering the next ill-advised decision of his work-in-progress protagonist, and traveling to other worlds in videogames, all while probably sipping espresso from a demi-tasse. A Night at The King's Inn is his second novel. The Last Odinian has also been the recipient of second place in the 2018 Royal Dragonfly Book Awards in the Science Fiction/Fantasy category, Winner of the 2018 Beverly Hills Book Awards in the Horror category, 2018 Best Book Award, 2018 Independent Author Network Horror finalist, and a finalist in the 2018 Reader's Favorite Fiction-Horror category.
