Pryderi led a rich life, but suffered an early death. In the days of 'Once upon a Time' that was the way of it, for he inhabited a warrior world: not the chivalry of courtly knights, nor the underhand dealings of the modern world of politics, but a world of battlefields, cattle raids, magic and might, life and death. That other world of myth and legend lies just under the skin of our world where we walk to work, the shop or to collect the children.
