Dr. Dowlah has published a previous book called Soviet Political Economy in Transition: From Lenin to Gorbachev (Greenwood, 1992).JOHN E. ELLIOTT is Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California. Dr. Elliott is the author of many books and journal articles published in Quarterly Journal of Economics, Economic Inquiry, History of Political Economy, Review of Social Economy, Journal of Economic Issues, Journal of Post Keynesian Economics and others.
