Notă biografică

Composer Mark David Gottlieb has written works for many different ensembles from solo works for piano and cello to concertos with full orchestras. He has been commissioned by many performers and ensembles including the Lafayette String Quartet from Victoria, Canada. His work has been broadcast throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. While Gottlieb has composed considerable works for instruments he considers himself, primarily, a vocal composer and has written many song cycles. Along with The Liquid Sphere, Gottlieb also collaborated with writer George Clayton Johnson (The Twilight Zone, Ocean's Eleven, Logan's Run etc.) on the musical ZOLA! Gottlieb's work has been favorably reviewed by a number of publications including The Detroit Free Press, The Birmingham News as well as on NPR and CBC. He lives in Pittsville, VA where his home overlooks farms, cow pastures, forests and mountains. He is happy there with his beloved Katie and a dog named Keiko.
