Notă biografică

Debralee Bowen was inspired to write this book by her own children's childhood memories and the now remarkable tales of her grandchildren. Having children and grandchildren of her own, she realizes how difficult it can be to get some children to read. She writes in a poetry type style to capture the interest of the child. Her style allows children to express more with each sentence. Her books encourage children to put their thoughts into words by writing them down. Her style focuses on making reading and writing fun for all children. She writes to inspire children to use their imaginations. As well as encouraging them to make friends and accept the differences of other children. Her hopes are to encourage children to become comfortable with verbal and written communication. She has put together a girl's book and a boy's book: The Little Yellow Clubhouse Diary and the Tree House Club Journal. These books interact with each other, allowing both the girls and the boys to see each other's differences, yet; leaving them with the understanding that they still can like each other. These books allow children the opportunity to understand the innocent humor of childhood friendships.
