The lonesome Commander

The author Martin Mahle was born in 1966 onthe Isle of Lindau in the Lake of Constance.After completing his apprenticeship as a banker,he also completed his part-time studies asa bank economist. From 1985 on he workedfor an internationally reknown banking group inLindau, Regensburg, Günzburg and Munich. Atpresent he works for this bank as a relationshipmanager for corporates in Augsburg and lives,with his wife and children, in Neusäss.While serving with the German Army's 1st Mountain Division theGerman Federal Armed Forces medal of honour was awarded tohim in late 1988.He is also known for his two espionage-thrillers »Geheimnisvollesschwarzes Gold« (»Mysterious black Gold«) and »Neujahr« (»NewYear«).
