This a book about the ganja trade as seen through my eyes. It is a fiction. When I was captured the last time for having ganja with intent to distribute, I figured I needed a new line of employment. The feds made me sit in a corner for a while, so to shorten my time I signed up for a correspondence course in writing. The characters in the book are people I knew back in the day. When I first started writing the book, I was angry at the feds and it had a quite different ending. But as I came to know yoga and meditation in camp, the story as it is now evolved. My love for smuggling wasnʼt aquiring fun tickets. It was the absolute adrenaline rush of adventure. I have always abhorred violence and mirrored the main characters as people who I admired for their lack of violence. I also admired the original founding fathers who protested an unfair tax on tea. I protest an unfair prohibition of ganja, which to my mind has always been a medicinal herb known to humans for eons, yet demonized since thethirties. Free up Kaya! As far back as I can remember I have always loved the outdoors. My dear departed mother told me a story about when I was an infant, which sums up my love of the outdoors. She said, "If you go out in that street one more time today, I will spank your bottom!" I covered my diapers with both hands and headed outside. All during my school years, I sat and wondered what was going on outside. I worked as a carpenter, shipwright, plumber, diver, sculpter and builder. I fished Cod, Sword, Shrimp, Black Grouper, Square Grouper, Marlin, Sail and Crab. On my final day of college, as I sat in a Constitutional Law course on the first day of classes, it dawned on me that I was condemning myself to a life indoors if I stayed on that course. I stood up and walked out! A couple of days later, I was invited to go on my first "Scam". Going to sea on boats gave me the chance to experience the oceans and time to read everything I could get my hands on. To me sailing switched between hurricane force terror to watching paint dry in the doldrums.
