The Lung Cancer Warriors' Cookbook(r) was inspired by Frances Schembri to raise awareness and much needed funding for Lung Cancer research as there are no early detection tests. Fran was a lifelong never smoker. She passed away from Stage 4 metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, after fighting hard for 16 months. Fran was passionate about removing the stigma associated with Lung Cancer because it can affect anyone. It does not discriminate between males and females, adults and children, smokers, non-smokers or never smokers. She wanted to make people aware that if you have lungs, you can get Lung Cancer. It's not just a smoker's disease Fran's dream to dedicate a cookbook to Lung Cancer was continued by her daughters, Jessica and Rebecca Dunn, after she passed away. It was completed in her memory. The Lung Cancer Warriors' Cookbook(r) is a culmination of recipes from Lung Cancer patients, loved ones, carers, medical staff, advocates and so many more from all over the world. It is a journey of each person's story and how Lung Cancer has touched their lives.
