Although Johnny is a fictional character, he is a composite of many young people today. The challenges he faces are real as well as his magic and detective approaches. Part 2 provides detailed instructions on how Johnny accomplishes his magic in Part 1, from close-up sleight-of-hand to stage illusions---magic which teaches diligence, dexterity, the importance of practice and how to relate to people--all necessary in most of life's endeavors.
