The Making of a Man

Young Drew Clausen leaves home to attend college, but his heart remains with the wide-open range of his family's ranch. After a year away that saw him enjoy parties, women, and liquor more than classrooms, books, and lectures, Drew returns home, much to the disappointment of his family. But his father still sees potential in young Drew and sends him to investigate the possible purchase of a large ranch along the Snake River in Idaho.

Unfortunately for Drew, life there is not easy. He soon finds himself in deep trouble, forced to make some difficult decisions that will help him learn what his father and mother had to do to build their ranching empire.

In the vein of works by Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour, "The Making of a Man" is the third book in author Duane Kent Clatworthy's "Clausen Family" "Series." Filled with beautiful imagery, memorable characters, and strong family values, this enjoyable tale harkens back to the great Western tales of old.
