As a reporter with the Cartwright Edition, Janice Harper watches as law enforcement officials escort convicted murderer Carmen Walker from Carmen killed all five of her husbands. After a couple of discussions with Carmen, Janice's unease begins to disappear. It's the interview of a lifetime, one that will cement her career. She is surprised when Carmen also asks her to write her autobiography. How can Janice refuse? During the course of writing Carmen's story, Janice finds her once perfect life falling apart.
