The target audience for this book is, firstly, those who are curious about this elite high-IQ society, Mensa, and its 'secret history'. Secondly, this book is targeted at an academic audience with an interest in modern history, but especially British and international politics and the ongoing 'Northern Ireland peace process'. This book first presents a history of MENSA before engaging with evidence for research conducted on or by members of MENSA that illustrate the relevance of political discourse during the nineties in relation to BREXIT after the 2016 UK referendum on membership of the European Union (EU). A 2015 petition to the European Parliament argues that the concept of a hereditary constitutional monarchy and legislatures are in direct conflict with the European Union's core principles of equality and human rights as set out in the CFR and ECHR and that they are fundamentally incompatible with each other. Although the UK has deftly sidestepped this debate through the vote to leave the EU it is argued that the remaining European constitutional monarchies are still threatened by this fundamental contradiction. Then the refugee versus economic migrant nomenclature is discussed in light of the refusal of many migrants to seek asylum at their first opportunity in favour of travelling to the EU instead. The fourth chapter discusses a 2002 petition that asked the European Parliament to examine conflicting claims from both the Irish government and the Irish Republican Army Council to be the legal government of the Irish Republic, and which was first raised during 1993. The Appendix contains reports written by the author which chart how these subjects are developed through time and which led inextricably to these two petitions to the European Parliament.
