The Many Lives of Kenneth Myer: Miegunyah Volumes Second, cartea 108

Autor Sue Ebury
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 31 aug 2008
A “warts-and-all” view of this driven, mercurial, and above all, unconventional man is provided in this comprehensive biography. The prominent Australian businessman and philanthropist’s fascinating life story starts at the very beginning, from the groundwork laid by his father for the family business and Ken’s purportedly illegitimate birth in California to his unfortunate role as executive chairman for the family business, and his scandalous divorce and remarriage to a much younger Japanese woman. Immigration, anti-Semitism, and acculturation in 20th-century Australia are also explored.

Notă biografică

Sue Ebury was born and educated in New Zealand. After nineteen years as an editor and publishing director at an international publishing house, she moved to Hong Kong, where she edited The War Diaries of Weary Dunlop and wrote the bestselling biography Weary: The Life of Sir Edward Dunlop.

Ken Myer's children commissioned the biography of their father, and Sue's research of Ken's life took her to the United Kingdon, Italy, Japan, Canada and the United States, where she interviewed friends and business associates.

Sue returned to Australia in 1994, where she lives in Mount Macedon, Victoria.
