When Rebecca approaches him with her hair-brained scheme to temporarily marry him to move her up the list to adopt a child, Anthony is unsure if he should even get involved. However, Rebecca describes a child that is moved from home to home in desperate need of a loving family. Although Anthony is completely in love with Rebecca, he agrees to provide her with his temporary husbandry services for no other reason than to elevate a child from poverty to plenty.

As they begin their journey as a family, Anthony and Rebecca live the perfect family life. Perfect in every way, except that their relationship is strictly nonphysical.
