According to reports, some of it was sent overseas to friendly territories; others say the largest portion was lost at sea somewhere off the coast of Martiniqe. This story deals with the hiding of the gold and, many years later, the search for it. What was the truth? Well, this is a work of fiction, so anything and everything may or may not have happened.
