There is a wealth of information, and misinformation on the subject of Spiritual Gifts and Ministry Gifts (also referred to as Body Ministry). In the early 1900s, many ministers and students of the Bible began to experience and to be led into the area of Spiritual Gifts. In places like Azusa Street Los Angeles there were occurrences of speaking with other tongues, healings, miracles, and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: It is also evident from the wording that all believers have been allocated one or more of these gifts. 1 Corinthians 12 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1 Corinthians 12 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. It is the goal of this book to assist the reader in discovering their gift(s). Since those early days the movement has spread under titles such as the "Pentecostal Movement," the "Healing Revival," the "Word of Faith Movement," and the "Charismatic Movement." Each of these movements has added elements to an overall restoration of the Gifts and Ministries of the early Church. In addition this restorational movement has expanded to include what some refer to as the "5 fold ministries." These including the Apostle, the Prophet, the Teacher, the Evangelist, and the Pastor.
