The Missiles of Lisburne

Autor R. T. Brown
en Limba Engleză Paperback
The Missiles of Lisburne is the second installment in the Eagle Canyon Squadron series. This paramilitary group is led by Commander D.C. Lionstar, United Species command pilot and lion. It is the responsibility of his team to seek out and engage specific threats to the animal nation of Noam (North America) at the direction of General Zoar, an eagle in charge of all Noam forces. The core members of the group include; twin lioness trusted agents, a collie demolitions expert, a shepherd expatriate soldier, a Siberian tiger tank commander, a widowed Afghan trusted agent, and a technical savvy porcupine. In The Missiles of Lisburne, the expansionist regime of German shepherds led by Supreme General Von Deitrich has pushed east, across Aja (Asia), to the shores of the Arctic Ocean. His vast armored forces are poised to cross the ice pack and invade Aleyeska (Alaska) and specifically one point of land named "Cape Lisburne." Shepherd intelligence has learned that this location is a former military installation from the "humanoid" era. There are believed to be two intercontinental ballistic missiles with warheads still interned underground. General Von Deitrich directs his sixth armored division to attack Lisburne and extract the warheads that will give him the power to overthrow the free world. Eagle Canyon Squadron is assigned to defend Cape Lisburne with the only support coming from the native Denali wolf packs, the Aleyeskan militia. The opposing forces clash at Cape Lisburne with only one coming away with the prize that will yield a nuclear sword and consequently global domination.
