Divine knowledge has been revealed to guide people through their journey towards their destiny. It tells what is expected from them, what their character should be, and how they are to behave in this world. Lack of knowledge tends to corrupt people. In his latest book, The Mission and Destiny of Humankind-An Exercise in Understanding the Qur'an, Dr. Muhammad Hafeez illustrates his own personal approach to the study of the Qur'an, which emphasizes the ongoing theme that we as humans have been placed on earth to be God's trustees. Individual Qur'anic passages are studied, reflected upon, organized thematically, and often even placed in outline format within the tables that frequently grace the text.
