Peggy Vance holds an MA in Art History from Christ's College, Cambridge, and has worked as an art historian and assistant curator of design at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. She has edited a wide range of books on fine, decorative and applied art, and is the author of Gaugin: The Masterworks, William Morris Wallpapers and Faberge.
Celia Goodrick-Clarke trained as a textile designer in Birmingham and London and taught art and textile design in London. She has worked for a variety of magazines and weekly newspapers including Homes & Gardens, Sunday Express Magazine and Metropolitan Home.
