The Movement

Autor Robert N. Cheek
en Limba Engleză Paperback
The United States of America in the mid-twenty-teens is a nation stumbling into an unclear future. Then, a series of event throws the world into economic chaos and war without warning. Just as a new status quo is established, tragedy strikes in the form of an organized, nation-wide terrorist attack. The government begins a crack-down on civil rights of average Americans in an ill-fated attempt to control the chaos, but the effort instead leads inexhaustibly to one conclusion: a complete breakdown of society. In response, an underground freedom movement spontaneously arises based around the writings of a previously unknown author. It takes only a single match to set off the entire powder keg. A political discussion becomes a full-fledged revolution. A struggle ensues for the hearts, minds, and the future of the nation. Like every American political and civil division, lines are drawn between families, friends, and colleagues. Friend against friend and brother against brother, the fabric of the nation is torn apart and sewn back together. It was Thomas Jefferson who said that 'From time to time, the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants.' A new birth of freedom for America will require that and much more. Only then can the rebuilding can begin.
