The Movie Watcher, Episode One

When a freak accident implants radioactive material into one of their unborn twin sons, Carl and Evelyn Tughy have no way of knowing just how serious-and powerful-the repercussions will be. It isn't until days before Jay and his twin brother Joel's fifth birthday that the full potential of Jay's extraordinary capability begins to appear. When Jay spontaneously links his entire neural system to Joel's and gains unfettered access to all his brother's thoughts, memories, knowledge, senses, and emotions without him feeling a thing, the Tughys grasp the enormity of their son's gift.

Jay's father dubs this phenomenon quantum neural entanglement (QNE), but Jay begins to think of himself as "the Movie Watcher," since he can sit undetected in the theater of people's minds and watch the movies of their lives. The Tughy family struggles to determine how Jay should best use his gift to serve humanity until Jay witnesses a bank robbery and uses his QNE to infiltrate the mind of the perpetrator. Suddenly, the whole Tughy family is plunged into the fight for justice as Jay discovers just how gifted he really is-and how much responsibility this power brings.
