Michael and Norman play detective with the help of their giant sock-eating pet plants, Stanley and Fluffy. On a dark and stormy night during a blackout, the book Michael is reading, "The Curse of the Evil Ooze," disappears from right under his nose. Then a valuable plant is stolen.
