Notă biografică

Kate Blincoe is a freelance journalist and writer for publications including The Guardian and Eastern Daily Press and the RSPB, who has been working in the environmental sector for over a decade. While working with the RSPB she became aware of how many children had very little experience with nature and the environment. Raising children with an understanding of and connection to the natural world is now just as important to Kate as reducing the carbon footprint of their early years.

At last - a good parenting guide which doesn't make you feel inadequate! Kate Blincoe shows how green parenting is not about hair shirts or home-made muesli but blends convenient modern technology with healthier, greener alternatives. Overall the book is a wonderful read, it has beautiful illustrations and photographs that the children have really enjoyed looking at. We also really liked that it was in no way preacher-y, I never felt that I was failing or felt judged when I was reading this book. It is not about what we are doing wrong, rather it suggests a million little ways that we can do it right, that we can be greener.
It's not a hippy book!
