The Old Brown Shoes is about a little girl named Nancy who always wears old brown scruffy shoes everywhere she goes. They take her off the beaten path to many unusual adventures. She gets them stuck in the mud, wet in the rain, and snow but continues on in her adventures. She travels with her parents to many different states.
