This book is based in the coal mining village of Ryhope, Sunderland, in the North-East of England. In the late 1800's Billy, known as Titch is accidently killed by stone dropping from the ceiling while underground in a seam, digging for coal. He becomes the bearer of the Old Coal Miner's Lamp which shines brightly to show those souls who have died the way to the light and there families on the other side. Mike begins tohave flashes from different time periods and hears strange noises in his home and struggles to sleep. He seeks out help totry and figure out what is happening to him. Danielle answers his call for help but as soon as she meets with Mike, strange things begin to happen to her and the gift that she already has becomes stronger. She can either continue to help Mike to figure out what is happening or she can steer clear of the unknown. Unbeknownst to everyone there is a family connection between them all that becomes more clear and the story progresses. Billy, Mike, and Danielle have to work together to solve the mystery of what is happening and also defeat the darkness that is heading their way.

Notă biografică

Vicky Peplow born June 1978. She is born and bred from an old coal mining village in the North-east of England where her first books are based around. She is very proud of her roots. She moved to Virginia, USA to be with her soul mate and love of her life. Only starting her writing career last year, Vicky has been hard at work and is hoping to have a couple of books coming out on a regular basis. Her main interests are graphic design, reading and she loves her sports. She also has a great fondness for animals of all shapes and sizes especially their seven year old long haired dachshund, Sir Milo and their cats Whiskers who will be twenty-one this year and their beloved Tiga Love who recently died last year.
