The Old Gold Road tells the story of a young Leisure Manager struggling with falling income levels and increased costs. He takes a journey along an old gold road with his dog Ruby, in the hope of meeting a Leisure Wizard at Withinreach Hall who he believes holds the answers to all of his problems. Along the way he meets a series of people who all claim to be able to help him and he must judge whether to accept their advice or not.
