The three twelve-year olds encounter monsters and immortals everywhere, from the despicable Furies to a raging bull-man, from the frightening three-headed giant dog, and then to the ruthless Titaness daughter of Oceanus herself. Basically, all of the bad guys in the Underworld are out to kill the three kids. Well, the carnivorous Stymphalian Birds are actually out to devour their flesh, to be exact. A new Olympian is rescued, and becomes the kids' ally in the War of the Underworld, as well as the three gods of death, sleep, and dreams. One thousand to seven.
