The Orange County Heads is the true story of Terry Bacon, a poor white child adopted from an Indian Reservation near Hawthorne Nevada by an even poorer white couple. Terry's family moves to Southern California when his father, a Marine Corps Master Sergeant who is transfered to El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in what is now the planned community of Lake Forest. The story takes Terry and his friends from 1955 thru 1969. Terry's father retires from the Marine Corps and moves the family to Anaheim where he is hired as assistant manager at the famous Casa De Fritos restaurant in Frontierland. Walt Disney stops by Casa De Fritos because he loves Terry's dad's chili, Terry harasses a skinny teenager with short hair telling him he knows how he does his tricks. I believe that person was a young Steve Martin. Orange County Heads is an historical and cultural tour of the O.C. when the beach never closed, four finger lids were ten dollars, red mountain wine was a dollar nine, and if you weren't careful when you partied in Mexico (and only 17) you could get thrown into jail and have the tar beaten out of you.
