volume 1 "The Ordinary Life of Emily Austin" is the story of a reserved middle aged music teacher's journey to find herself after a painful divorce, while she searches for her Self in her spiritual journey. The ordinary and extraordinary events she experiences are woven together with tears, laughter, and spiritual inspiration. To give a comparison, one might think of "Eat Pray Love" with a larger dose of the Divine and a heaping helping of LOL. Many of the events in this story are taken from the authors own experiences.
