Leila is dead. She has been dead for quite some time. However, she "lives" in a world that is similar to her old world. It's ruled by the Council, and breaking their rules can lead to an unforgiving fate. Leila has adapted to her new surroundings, but as the days pass she starts to question if all is well. After voluntarily breaking the rules, she puts events into motion that will change both worlds forever.
