The Main Character in this novel is Amara, a young girl of the Western human tribes who is skilled in both battle and magic. Four great Continents form the world of Algon. Amara and her friend Tanin venture across the Western Continent to the magical isle where the Phoenix Wand is guarded. Acquiring new friends along her journey, Amara becomes part of a prophecy greater than what she imagines. But will a young girl's powers be able to overthrow an enemy that is not of flesh and bones?
