The Piper: Letters from the Sons in Two Acts, 1914-1923

The Town Council sells the town’s essential services in order to buy more televisions and casinos, then force a gang of Rats, led by Kingsley -—a rodent who quotes Nietzsche and dreams of being human —to take provocative photographs of children in exchange for all the tastiest leftovers. No one protests until the body of the Deputy Mayor's son is fished out of the river.
