What would happen to a king’s messenger if he decided he didn’t like the message he was given to deliver and just alters it? Not a good situation for the messenger nor for the intended recipient!

The pastor says, “lets read from the Word of God.” So we dutifully open up the Bibles we lugged into the sanctuary and realize what is being recited has only a resemblance to what the Book says that we are holding. Then even more confusion when the minster selects ensuing passages from a plethora of other official sounding holy books and I tire of trying to transpose just to receive some spiritual food.

The abundance of Bible renderings available in church today has created a modern day fallout, reminiscent of the tower of Babel, which saw languages so confused that the people could no longer understand each other. A shepherd teaches from one book and each of the sheep attempts to follow along in a version that doesn’t even resemble what they hear. Could you imagine the confusion in a college calculus class where everyone came in with their own text book and insisted their’s was the best and oldest?

However, as if to put the King’s stamp of approval on the message, the minister uses the teachable moment to show you his grip on the Greek and Hebrew languages and we are convinced and in awe of our teachers gift. The outrageous truth is that the Greek and Hebrew text he is expounding upon in support of the new Bible translation was an altered counterfeit that was exchanged way back around 1880 by two highly suspect scholars who infiltrated the protestant faction in a coup to reunite under the queen of heavens mother church.

There hasn’t been a significant revival since the alternative Bible translations became best sellers. . .
