The Place of Justice

This eclectic collection examines the way laws regulate geographical space and include detailed case studies of the impact of law on animal resources, children of divorce and where they live, aboriginal rights and street protest. The contributors of these writings are the winners of a legal analysis and reform essay competition organized by the Law Commission of Canada and were chosen from graduate students who are actively engaged in original and innovative research in pursuit of masters or doctoral degrees in law or the social sciences and humanities. The goal of these essays is to stimulate critical and multidisciplinary discussion and debate about fundamental issues of law and society.
