Recenzii
An excellent introduction to Aeschylus by one of the world's leading authorities on the playwright. Crisply written, concisely informative, and reliable, it provides ideal guidance for those reading the plays for the first time.
Clearly and concisely presented, this volume offers a thorough initiation into the dramatic world of Aeschylus, as conducted by one of its leading scholars. Further developing his insightful chapter-by-chapter analyses of individual tragedies, A. F. Garvie pays increased attention to the mythical context of the plays and to the necessities of ancient stagecraft in this second edition. A comprehensive introduction to this all important playwright.
