The Politics of Scale in Policy: Scalecraft and Education Governance
Autor Natalie Papanastasiouen Limba Engleză Hardback – 28 mai 2019
This book calls for studies of policy and public administration to engage more directly with political geography. It demonstrates the value of doing so by introducing a new understanding of scale in the study of policy and public administration. It uses the burgeoning literature on scale in political geography to identify a pressing need to integrate a more critical approach to scale in studies of policy. This integration involves moving away from treating scale as an objective, measurable category of the social world to recognizing that scales have subjective meanings which are crucial to the politics of policymaking.

Recenzii
"This original contribution demonstrates an empirically grounded approach to what some critical social scientists have been calling for: a move beyond one-dimensionalism to consider the multiple ways sociospatial relations are constituted and organized."
