Numerous cases can be instanced where new tools and equipment have been procured out of small commissions-such as making or repairing articles of furniture, decorating rooms, cycle repairing and what not and many an amateur has looked to his tools as a temporary means of earning a livelihood when other ways have failed. The man who selects carpentry as a means of occupying his spare time is to be congratulated on his choice, for few crafts involving the use of tools offer more variety.
