He
was
the
best-known
writer
of

saga,

as
a
textbook
for
young
poets
who
wished
to
praise
kings,
and
HEIMSKRINGLA,
a
history
of
the
kings
of
Norway,
the
most
important
prose
collection
in
Old
Norse
literature.
