World War II rages throughout Europe. Mage Axum, an injured American soldier, awakens in a hospital unaware of who he is. Aided by a priest, he finds his way back to America, only to discover that his wife remarried after being informed that he had died in combat. However, everyone is unaware that he has miraculously been given a second chance at life, but inexplicably in the body of a soldier named James Karl.
