Eschewing theological abstractions and scriptural information, this study is an insight into the empirical quest for the finite-infinite relationship as understood and experienced by the two epoch-making literary figures, Rabindranath Tagore and T.S. Eliot. Through the predominant relationships of man with love, death, time, humanity and liberation, it makes a first-of-its-kind attempt to capture the subtle nuances of the religious sensibilities of the two poets.
