Notă biografică
Anne Ravenoak is the pen name used by Carol Tipler (The Storyteller and His Story, Trafford, 2004) for a series of books (Marten River Hideaway, 2005; Secrets of the Bluebird Inn, 2006; The Hidden Path, scheduled for 2007) Carol retired as an Assistant Professor of English in 1995 and has since spent her time writing a series of books, gardening and traveling. A high-school drop out at the age of sixteen, Carol worked at various jobs until she married and raised four children. While her children were in school, she entered university as a mature student, completed her BA and MA and taught for several years at both Laurentian University in Sudbury and Nipissing University in North Bay. Interested in spiritual and psychic matters and a recipient of energy healing, Carol uses these in some form in all her books. She has since been attuned to level one, Reiki. "In a sense," she says, "I guess I will always inform and teach, but the stories make it much more fun for the writer and the reader. We grow together."
Carol lives with her husband, Harold, in North Bay, Ontario. Harold loves to get involved in the technical aspects of the stories she writes.
