God's plan of salvation is reveals through the Old Testament sanctuary (temple). The purpose of the sanctuary is to direct into the presence of God. The Sanctuary service provided a way the sinner could repent and atone for his sins. The perfect sacrifice, the Lamb of God offered once for our sins. They have seen thy goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary (Psalm 68:24). God gave the ancient Israelites, and to us His plan for their salvation through the study of the Sanctuary. Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? (Psalms 77:13)
