The adventure continues with Rock and his siblings. The dragons of Primus are a benevolent, intelligent race. They are so rare that most have come to believe they are only a myth. Only a handful of the noble beasts remain, and when their extinction becomes imminent, an ancient wizard endangers a member of the elven royal family of Rootwater in a desperate attempt to save their race. While the scions of The Princess and the Stonecutter grow into their powers, the youngest must remain in Amerlwith when her brother and sister leave to prepare for war in distant Koth. Pursued by a sect of necromancers who seek the power of The Islix Sword, Rock and Rayene return to the land of their birth to aid its nobles as they struggle to defeat a plot that has been long in the making.
