The Second Raven Sings

Autor J. a. Monfeli
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 9 mai 2014
The Second Raven Sings is a collection of poems drawn from the author's experiences over the course of three summers living and working in the Philmont high country, and a few more wishing to be there but kept, one way or another, far away. For those that know it, Philmont is often a fondly-remembered place, a place of strange meetings and stranger chances, a place of sublime light shining through the ponderosas, of elk leaping across one's path as if from noplace, and of glimpses at dusk and dawn of a world long past. It is a place of tall tales, of hidden springs and mischievous bears. It is a place of learning, of discovery, and of memory. For some, it feels like home. For those that know Philmont well, I hope that this book feels familiar. For those who have never been, or those who perhaps still hope to make it some day, I hope that it offers a window onto a world of wonderous moments, as if hints of strange chances, glimpsed through the summer leaves.
